Strokestown Park is a Georgian Palladian mansion, complete with preserved original furnishings, and is a must see when visiting Co. Roscommon.
The gardens are tranquil and a testament to the designs of the time, and work of Henry Packenham, who was a keen plant collector and gardener.

Great photos Colette. I drove out to this place but when I found it was €12 each to get in it put me off.
